ISO 5 Cleanroom Standards in Exosome Manufacturing
What ISO 5 classification means and why it matters for exosome material quality.
ISO 5 is the cleanroom classification that permits no more than 3,520 particles (≥0.5 µm) per cubic meter of air. For comparison, a typical office environment contains roughly 35 million particles per cubic meter. This 10,000x reduction in airborne particulate is achieved through HEPA filtration, positive air pressure, strict gowning protocols, and continuous environmental monitoring.
B&H Bio's MSC exosome material is processed in ISO 5 cleanroom conditions. Every batch is handled under controlled environmental conditions before being tested by Eurofins for sterility (USP <71>) and endotoxin (USP <85>). You can review the documentation before purchase.
